041 SAGA HAS BECOME ONE OF IBIZA’S MOST RESPECTED RESIDENCIES. HOW HAS IT EVOLVED SINCE ITS INCEPTION, AND WHAT SURPRISES AWAIT US THIS SUMMER? Saga from the beginning has always been about music and dramatic theater intertwined. Over the years, it’s evolved into a fully immersive experience – not just a party, but a world where we invite people from all walks of life into each week. Every season, we push to tell new stories through music and atmosphere. This summer, expect the unexpected. From collaborations to new production, and moments designed to spark a true connection on the dance floor – it’s the SAGA you’ve always known but also a SAGA you’ve never seen before. YOUR SETS HAVE A CLEAR NARRATIVE. HOW DO YOU WORK ON BUILDING THAT FROM START TO FINISH? We always plan our sets around recent and upcoming releases we have planned for the year... We support those tunes with our favorites from our label and a few favorite producers... Choosing the right selection from there based on the different settings around the world. THERE’S SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT IBIZA. WHAT IS IT THAT CONNECTS YOU TO THE ISLAND ON AN ARTISTIC LEVEL? I have no idea what it is specifically (laughs). But for sure creativity flows in a special way here on the island... I think it’s about the people we share the island with feeling everyone’s energy changes what we channel and what comes out. OVER THE COURSE OF YOUR CAREER, IS THERE A MOMENT THAT DEEPLY IMPACTED YOU — OR ONE YOU LOOK BACK ON WITH PARTICULAR FONDNESS? There are definitely a few - our first Burning Man set on the Robot Heart bus, or our first Ibiza residency 8 years ago, or maybe it was Cercle live performance in one of theworld wonders, Petra... or the moment we sold out our first show, every moment counts. YOUR MUSIC HAS GROWN IN MATURITY AND SOPHISTICATION OVER TIME. HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR EVOLUTION SINCE THOSE EARLY RELEASES ON ALL DAY I DREAM OR CROSSTOWN REBELS? Our music is constantly evolving because we are constantly evolving. Everything changes. In our case, we try to keep building on what we started and evolve with it musically and personally. It’s never about sub genres for us… It’s all about keeping it real to what we’re truly feeling. And we hope to translate that feeling on the dance floor. WHEN A NIGHT AT SAGA COMES TO AN END, WHAT DO YOU HOPE THE AUDIENCE TAKES AWAY FROM THE EXPERIENCE? Maybe a dream, maybe a friend, maybe a new favorite Bedouin song. AFTER TEMPLE OF DREAMS, DO YOU HAVE A NEW ALBUM OR LONG-TERM PROJECT IN MIND? GIVE US A PREVIEW. Not an album, but we’ll be dropping a few very special tunes with a few very special artists... Some whom we haven’t worked with previously. IF YOU COULD LEAVE A MESSAGE THROUGH MUSIC THIS SEASON, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Fight the power, dance till you drop.
